Mont Saint Michel can be visit by day and by night all year long. Called "the beauty of the Occident", the Mont Saint Michel points at the heart of a wide bay overrun by the biggest tides in Europe. When the spring tides comes, you have a beautiful view upon the polders and the bay from the heights of Mont Saint Michel's ramparts and fortifications..
In a red color, this office is situated at "la Caserne" before the principal road to Mont Saint Michell (en free entrance,open 7d/7
from april to november).
Prouesse de l'architecture monastique, The Abbey is opened every day (except 01/01, 05/01 and 12/25). You must pay to visit The Abbey : free with or without a guide or a lecturer. Temporary exhibitions, seminars and conferences will be held regularly at the Abbey. A space is reserved exclusively for the monks of the Mount to prayer and work : it's the monastic fraternity of Jerusalem.

Having crossed the Guard room, the fortified entrance to the Abbey, you walk to the Bavole door, the King door with the portcullis and the King abode on it (actually city hall) . After, you can see the house of Arcade, the house of Artichaut and the house of Sirène, the church... and you climb the stairs known as the Grand Degré up to the Saut-gautltier terrace. You then walk to see the famous Abbey, the Abbey Church, the Cloister, the Refectory, the Guests' hall, the great pillared crypt, the Saint Etienne Chapel !!!
The city museums, shops, restaurants with local dishes (bouchots mussels, oysters, salt lamb...).
